Using the Carousel Widget you can display specific items as a daily deal of specials and other items starting and ending on a specific date. This is great for holidays, sales, and more!
How to Set It Up
In the theme editor, you can add a new widget under Themes > Edit Theme
Find the Home Page (Category or Product Details page, depending on where you want this to go) and select "Widgets" and "Add Widget"
Find the Carousel Widget in the list, and select "Add".
Once this has been added, it can then be edited. You will then select "Daily Rotator" from list as so:
From here you can select the display orientation, and the specific Product List you want to display.

You will then select a Start Date, End Date, Max number of products to display, number of products visible at one time, etc.
