The theme editor allows you to adjust the appearance and content of your store pages. Some settings are available for many pages, while others are configurable for certain pages.

1. Page Settings
(available for all pages except "Content Pages")

Basic Settings

  • Display
    • Template - Offers a number of potential layouts for your page:
      • Theme Default - Use the default layout for this theme (set in Theme > Global Theme Settings > Default Template).
      • LeftAndRightColumns - Display the left and right columns, including any widgets configured for these sections.
      • LeftColumnOnly - Hides the right column.
      • RightColumnOnly - Hides the left column.
      • ContentOnly - Hides both side columns.
      • Blank - Displays a minimal layout with no header, footer or side columns.

2. Catalog Display Settings

Basic Settings
  • Navigation & Paging
    • Paging Type - Determines whether page navigation displays as a text entry box or numbered page links.
    • Product List Number Page Links Start/End Count - The number of page links to show before and after any mid-range page links
    • Product List Numbered Page Links Shown - The maximum number of page links to show between the Start/End page links
    • Page Size - Number of products to display by default
    • Page Navigation Image: Previous - Image to appear in place of the text for "Previous" in page navigation
    • Page Navigation Image: Next - Image to appear in place of the text for "Next" in page navigation
Advanced Settings
  • Layout
    • Show/hide fields:
      • Add To Cart Button
      • Price
      • Manufacturer

3. One Page Checkout Display Settings
(available for the "One Page Checkout" page)
 
Basic Settings
  • Display
    • Show Shipping Address By Default - If checked, the shipping address on One Page Checkout will be expanded and ready to enter into. instead of asking if it is the same as the billing address. If unchecked, the shipping address entry fields hide by default and the user must select an option to display.
      • Disabled by default. In most situations, the billing address is the same as the shipping address. This saves the end user time.

4. Picture Popup Display Settings
(available for the "Product Picture Popup" page)

Basic Settings
  • Display Type
    • Popup Type - Determines whether the picture will be displayed as HTML or a photo.
      • When set to HTML, the Popup Page will be displayed (required for Zoomify).
      • Photo calls the image file directly (smoother display and better SEO).
  • Dimensions
    • Using the options below, you can set the dimensions of the popup pages and pictures:
      • Popup Page Width
      • Popup Page Height
      • Picture Width
      • Picture Height
    • Enlarge Picture - Check this to allow pictures to be enlarged if the product picture is smaller than specified. However, picture quality may diminish.
    • Size Proportionally - Check this to force pictures to be scaled proportionally. If both height and width are set, they become the maximum boundaries for the picture.

Advanced Settings
  • Zoomify
    • Zoomify is a 3rd party system. It is used for photo zooming, panning and other advanced imaging/picture functions.
    • Using the options below, you can set the dimensions of the Zoomify popup pages and pictures:
      • Zoomify Popup Page Width
      • Zoomify Popup Page Height
      • Zoomify Picture Width
      • Zoomify Picture Height
  • Video Dimensions
    • Using the options below, you can set the dimensions of your videos:
      • Video Popup Width
      • Video Popup Height
  • Search Engine
    • Do Not Index - Indicates the page to render with a NOINDEX meta tag to tell search engines not to index the content.

5. Product Display Settings
(available for the "Product Details" page)

Basic Settings
  • Layout
    • Use Tabs - If unchecked, it will render the long descriptions successively down the page. If checked, it will render tabs for the long descriptions.
    • Show Related Items On Tab
    • Show Quantity Price Vertically - Normally the quantity price grid will show horizontally. If checked, this setting will force it to render vertically(up/down) the page.
    • Show Swatch Next To Variant Option - Allows shoppers to view images for different variants of a product.
    • Use Matrix Style Variant Display
    • Variant Matrix Display Directions - This setting controls the layout of the matrix-style variant display:
      • Horizontal (default) - The largest variant group is placed across the top. This results in a horizontal oriented matrix.
      • Vertical - The smallest variant group is placed across the top. This results in a vertical oriented matrix.
      • By Group Sort Order - The variant group that is set to be sorted to the top will be placed across the top of the matrix. This could result in either a horizontal or vertical layout depending on the size of the group.

    • Show/hide fields:
      • Add To Cart Button
      • Price
      • Retail Price
      • Availability
      • ETA Date
      • Manufacturer
      • Item Numbers
      • Quantity In Stock
      • Total for Product Group
    • Enable Shipping Estimation on Product Page - When enabled, a link appears on each product page. When clicked, it generates a pop up a window that allows the customer to estimate the shipping charges.

6. Product List Display Settings
(available for the "Category", "Attribute", "Manufacturer", and "Search" pages)

Basic Settings
  • Paging & Navigation
    • Enable Product List Paging - If there are more products in a list than the Page Size, enabling this option will create multiple pages.
    • Paging Type - Determines whether page navigation displays as a text entry box or numbered page links.
      • Selecting "Numbered Page Links" adds CSS classes to the Custom CSS. Find this under the Theme's CSS Settings page.
    • Product List Numbered Page Links Start/End Count - The number of page links to show before and after any mid-range page links.
    • Product List Numbered Page Links Shown - The maximum number of page links to show between the Start/End page links.
    • Page Size - Number of products to display by default.
    • Page Navigation Image: Previous - Image to appear in place of the text for "Previous" in page navigation.
    • Page Navigation Image: Next - Image to appear in place of the text for "Next" in page navigation.
  • Sorting
    • Display Sort By Box
    • Default Sort - Products can sort by one of the following:
      • Default
      • Brand
      • Product Name
      • Newest Products
      • Priced Low to High
      • Priced High to Low
      • Rated Low to High
      • Rated High to Low
  • Layout
    • Layout Style - Determines whether items will be displayed horizontally or vertically.
    • Products Per Row
Advanced Settings
  • Layout
    • Show/hide fields:
      • Add To Cart Button
      • Price
      • Retail Price
      • Availability
      • Manufacturer
      • Item Numbers
    • Options only available on the "Category" page
      • Hide Category Header on Show All - Specifies if the category header and associated snap-ins should be hidden when Show All is clicked.
      • Hide Subcategories on Show All - Specifies whether or not the subcategories should be hidden when Show All is clicked
      • Hide Category Header on Sort/Attribute - Specifies if the category header and associated snap-ins should be hidden when a Sort selection or Attribute is chosen
      • Hide Subcategories on Sort/Attribute - Specifies whether or not the subcategories should be hidden when a Sort selection or Attribute is chosen
    • Option only available on the "Search" page
      • Show Search By Category - If turned on, this setting will allow the search to be broken down by the primary categories of your store. A dropdown will appear next to the search box for customers to choose where they want to search.

7. Product Picture Settings
(available for the "Category List", "Category", "Attribute", "Manufacturer", "Search", "Product Details", "Shopping Cart", "Free Item Order", "Product Reviews", and "Write Reviews" pages)

Basic Settings
  • Display
    • Picture Display Type - You can choose to use thumbnail pics if available and then the normal pic, or specify to use only a specific type.
  • Dimensions
    • Product Picture Width and Product Picture Height - You can specify the width and height of the product picture.
    • Resize Product Thumb - Check this to have thumbnails resized as specified. Otherwise, it will keep its original size.
      • This uses our auto-resizer which generates crisp high-quality low-size thumbnails automatically and caches them for speed.
    • Enlarge Picture - Check this to have pictures enlarged if the product picture is smaller than specified. However, picture quality may diminish.
    • Size Proportionally - Check this to force pictures to be scaled proportionally. If both height and width are set, they become the maximum boundaries for the picture.

    • Show Pros/Cons - When checked, this will show the entry areas for the Pros/Cons

    • Do Not Index - Indicates that the page will be rendered with a NOINDEX meta tag to tell search engines not to index the content.
