How To Set Up MAP Pricing

MAP Pricing is a feature that allows you to strikethrough a retail price and display a MAP pricing message.

When enabled, the retail price will be displayed in the catalog, but with a line through it (strikethrough). In place of the actual price there will be a MAP pricing message, which is a link, and when clicked on will provide further details for why the actual price is not displayed.

When the item is actually added to the cart, the price will appear normally.

To setup MAP Pricing:

  1. Browse to the Pricing Tab on the Product Editor
  2. Enable MAP Pricing
  3. Save

If you have a large number of products you can use the product import tool to enable MAP pricing.

Once enabled, the MAP pricing will display on the storefront.

When an item is added to the cart, the price will display in the cart.

Please note:

  1. You need to have the Retail price entered before the strikethrough will display.
  2. If you are using a custom product page layout, you would need to add the following conditional merge code to display MAP Pricing

    Price: $1,337.00

You can change the MAP pricing link text and the text that displays on clicking the MAP pricing message under Themes > Store Text.
