Both public and private Wishlists allow a customer to flag a product they want, and save it for later. A public wishlist's intention is similar to a gift registry. This will allow others to view the list of products their friends and families may purchase from.
To enable this feature, go to the “Themes” icon on the left navigation.
Next select “Edit” under your active theme.
Now click on the “Global Theme Settings” link on the left.
Scroll down the page until you see the Shopping Cart section. Here you will see an option for Allow Wishlists. Enable the checkbox.
Don’t forget to save in the upper right corner
After enabling the Wishlist, options will appear on the product page that will allow users to add products to a wishlist.
When users click the “Add to Wishlist” button, they are taken to the wishlist page. From here they can:
- Save selected items to a NEW Wish List
- Save selected items to an EXISTING Wish List
- Access and edit all their saved wishlists (public and private)
The registered user can now view edit or delete wish lists at their own discretion. The only way to access customers wishlists is to login as that customer.
