Widgets page/adding and editing widgets from backend

Back to Themes FAQs

Adding and editing widgets from the admin console is fast and easy.
Open the theme level page to add a widget to and click on the widgets tab.

To add a widget all you have to do is click on it and drag it to one of the widget areas to the right.

The widgets generally stack top to bottom. The topmost widgets will appear above the widgets below them in their areas. This happens unless specified differently with css.

After it loads, you can click on one of the three icons to edit it.
The three editable areas on the widget are:

1. Widget Settings - Here you can set some of the more common display and content settings. These will change, depending on the widget.

2. Widget Layout- Here you can view and edit the html of the widget. Custom html can be added to the widget here (be advised, this section is for those who know how to edit Html).

4. Widget CSS - This section is for those who don't need the style designer tool and want to add their own css or edit the widget's style sheet.
